UNCG Special Ties to the Apple TV film "CODA"

This week, Apple TV will release its award-winning film, “CODA” (child of deaf adults), that is centered on themes of hearing and deafness.

The film is especially relevant to many at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro because of the university’s Professions in Deafness (PID) program, which is the only one of its kind in the UNC system. UNCG’s program offers three distinct tracks: interpreter preparation, K-12 deaf and hard of hearing teacher licensure, and advocacy services for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Latoya Jordan ’06, is a real-life CODA and PID graduate of UNCG; she speaks about her experience in this comprehensive video about the program.

If you want to know more about the PID program and how it is making a difference in communities across the state and beyond, I would love to connect you with one of UNCG’s experts.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
